I started this website as a mission to help those with Chronic Pain, Illness and/or Disability. All people need a purpose in life. Many of us with these issues can't conform to a "normal" work life, so we choose to work from home (usually after years of working outside the home, sick and in pain) to feel more comfortable dealing with our illness or pain. Many of us feel like a burden to our spouses/family relating to income so All people who help me create this jewelry are either "special" human beings or a member of that persons family trying to help their family member suffering with illness or pain who has trouble doing the work assignments on their own. Am I discriminating? I hope no one feels I am. I've lost almost everything because of my illness, and it is my mission to make sure that I can help as many people as I can by employing them. My mom always use to say "help as many people as you can for as long as you can". She has been a great inspiration for me.
I work most of my day "horizontal". It eases my pain. I want that very same thing for others, to work the way they feel their best :) If you plan to order a piece of jewelry from our website, I will thank you in advance! Most people with chronic pain or illness hide behind that smile in an effort to feel normal. In about 75% of the cases, there is no outward sign showing the kind of pain or illness they really have. It's easier to thank God everyday for your health than it is to judge others :)
If you are an employer and have positions open for people with chronic illness, pain or disabilities, that they could do from their home, temporary, full or part time, please contact your state Social Security Branch. They can get you in touch with the department you need to work with. You can also check with your employees. Chances are, some of them have a friend or family member who has "physical issues" who doesn't receive any state help that could use a little income.
